INDOOR ROWING PERFORMANCE WORKSHOPs
Learn the Technique. Make it Stick.
There are plenty of great workshops that can tell you what good rowing technique looks like.
The challenge is making those changes stick.
Many athletes leave a coaching session understanding exactly what they need to do, only to find themselves reverting back to old habits the moment the pressure, fatigue or intensity increases. Changing movement patterns is hard. It can feel uncomfortable, unnatural and, in the short term, even slower.
That's where this workshop is different.
My approach focuses not only on identifying technical improvements, but helping athletes understand why those changes matter and how to successfully embed them into their training. The goal isn't simply to leave with more knowledge. It's to leave rowing differently.
Who It's For
Perfect for:
• Indoor rowers looking to improve performance and efficiency
• Hyrox and functional fitness athletes using the erg as part of their training
• Gym members who want to feel more confident on the rowing machine
• Coaches and trainers wanting a deeper understanding of effective rowing mechanics
• Clubs, gyms and organisations looking to improve member experience and performance
What You'll Learn
Participants will learn:
• How to generate more speed and power without simply working harder
• Why certain technical habits develop and how to change them
• How to maintain good technique under fatigue and pressure
• Better pacing, rhythm and stroke control
• How movement restrictions and individual differences influence technique
• Practical strategies that help technical improvements become lasting habits
My Coaching Philosophy
There is no single perfect rowing stroke.
Every athlete arrives with different strengths, movement capabilities, injury histories, goals and learning styles. Rather than forcing everyone into the same technical model, I help athletes understand the principles behind effective rowing and find solutions that work for them.
The workshop is highly practical, interactive and focused on real-world application rather than endless drills or theory.
Because ultimately, the best technical change is the one that still exists six weeks later.
Workshop Format
Typically delivered as a 3-hour workshop including:
• Technical assessment and coaching
• Practical movement and rowing drills
• Individual and small-group feedback
• Pacing and performance application
